On December 11–12, 2025, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) warmly welcomed Fr. Florens Maxi Un Bria, Head of the Pastoral College of the Archdiocese of Kupang and Head of the Association of Indonesian Catholic Religious Universities (PERPETAKI), together with members of Catholic religious universities in Indonesia, for an official visit to the University.
During the visit, Fr. Florens Maxi Un Bria and the PERPETAKI delegation met with representatives from the Graduate Schools (Graduate School of Business and Advance Technology Management and Graduate School of Human Sciences) of AU to engage in constructive discussions on potential academic collaborations between AU and member institutions of PERPETAKI. The discussions focused on strengthening regional and international cooperation among Catholic higher education institutions, with particular emphasis on shared academic values, research development, and institutional capacity building.
Key areas of potential collaboration explored during the meetings included joint research initiatives, shared academic publications, faculty and researcher exchanges, guest lectures, and other forms of academic and scholarly cooperation. Both parties expressed strong interest in developing sustainable partnerships that would enhance academic quality, research productivity, and international engagement.
The visit also included a tour of AU’s Campus, providing the delegation with an overview of the University’s academic environment, facilities, and institutional identity. The Campus tour offered opportunities for informal exchanges and further dialogue on future collaborative activities.
Overall, the visit marked an important step toward strengthening academic ties between Assumption University of Thailand and Indonesian Catholic higher education institutions under PERPETAKI, laying a strong foundation for meaningful collaboration in teaching, research, and scholarly exchange in the years ahead.
