Assumption University of Thailand (AU) welcomed students and teachers from Assumption College Thonburi to the Suvarnabhumi Campus on August 13, 2026, for a visit to the Louis Nobiron School of Music.
The visit brought the students to the 24th floor of the Cathedral of Learning, where music is approached not only as an art form but also as a profession, a business and a rapidly changing global industry.
At the Louis Nobiron School of Music, artistic development is combined with entrepreneurship and practical industry knowledge. Students explore areas including performance, songwriting, production, artist management, marketing, digital media and music technology—skills that can turn creative ability into a sustainable career.
For the visiting students, the experience offered a closer look at what could come after secondary school. A love of music might begin with a voice, an instrument or a favourite song, but today it can lead to work onstage, in a recording studio, behind a mixing desk or at the helm of a creative enterprise.
The visit was especially fitting for Assumption College Thonburi, which offers Music Gifted studies and a programme focused on music, performance and the entertainment industry. Established in 1961 by the Brothers of Saint Gabriel, the school has a proud record of helping young people develop their academic abilities, talents and character.
Assumption College Thonburi and AU also share the Gabrielite educational tradition. That common heritage gave the occasion the warmth of a family visit, with music providing a language understood by everyone.
The Louis Nobiron School of Music prepares students for an industry in which talent still matters—but talent must now work alongside creativity, technology, business knowledge and the confidence to adapt.
The visit allowed the young musicians to see that their interests could become more than extracurricular activities. With commitment, education and the courage to be heard, their passion could become their profession.
