WRITER: THE AU LIBRARY
Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science (BLNS) at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) in collaboration with Blue Venture TPA Co., Ltd initiated the short course curriculum to strengthen the knowledge and skills of professional insurance assessors.
The programs were as follows:
- Risk & Insurance, Principle of Insurance and Life Insurance by Ms. Natthinee Chinnawirot, Deputy Director of Thai Life Insurance Public Company Limited.
- Fraud Claims and Copayment Strategies in Health Insurance by Mr. Suthon Chutiniyomkarn, M.D., Executive Committee of Blue Venture TPA Co., Ltd.
- Non-Communicable Diseases by Dr. Pimsiri Bhusiri, Lecturer of BLNS.
- Communicable Diseases by Dr. Chavalee Boonto, Lecturer of BLNS.
- English Communication in Healthcare by Dr. Phat Prapawichar, Dean of BLNS. and Ms. Sumonrat Supkeit, Lecturer of BLNS.
- Claim Assessment Workshop by four experts from Blue Venture TPA Co., Ltd.
- Soft Skills Workshop by Mr. Piamsak Uraipan Shikegi, a distinguished Corporate Trainer and Consultant at SGS.
On March 27, 2025, an engaging and insightful workshop titled “Claim Assessment Workshop was organized to enhance the participants’ skills and expertise in the dynamic insurance landscape.
Throughout the workshop, participants engaged in interactive and comprehensive case study discussions. These sessions provided practical insights and deepened the understanding of key issues insurance assessors frequently face, such as claim assessments, policy evaluation, and risk management.
A major highlight of the workshop was the special presentation delivered by Mr. Suthon Chutiniyomkarn, M.D., Executive Committee of Blue Venture TPA Co., Ltd.. His session specifically addressed critical issues surrounding fraud claims and copayment strategies in health insurance, providing valuable industry-specific knowledge that resonated deeply with attendees.

The workshop concluded with a certificate-awarding ceremony, acknowledging participants’ dedication to professional growth and their proactive efforts to stay abreast of industry trends and challenges. Nine continuing nursing education units were provided to each nursing participant.
The BLNS at Assumption University of Thailand continues to deliver impactful programs designed to equip industry professionals with essential skills, practical knowledge, and innovative strategies to excel in their careers and effectively navigate the complexities of the insurance industry.
