Water survival and rescue training equipped 46 Bang Bo Witthayakom School students with practical, life-saving skills.
Assumption University’s Center for Sports and Physical Fitness (CSPF), under Student Affairs, welcomed 46 Grade 10–12 students from Bang Bo Witthayakom School to the Suvarnabhumi Campus for a study visit and practical training programme on water survival and rescue skills.
The opening ceremony was presided over by Rev. Bro. Channarong Boonphram, Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs, who delivered opening remarks and encouraged participants to approach the training with confidence, responsibility and care for others.
A. Kasikrit Mantasut, Director of the Center for Sports and Physical Fitness, presented the background and objectives of the programme. Mr. Watcharin Suksawang, Head of the Health and Physical Education Learning Area at Bang Bo Witthayakom School, accompanied the students alongside the school’s teachers throughout the activities.
The programme was conducted in collaboration with Mr. Rachanon Sakon, lecturer at the Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science, Assumption University, who served as the principal resource person. Faculty members from the School of Nursing Science and CSPF staff also supported the training.
Students took part in learning sessions and hands-on exercises covering basic first aid, water-survival techniques and water-rescue procedures. The activities were designed to help participants develop the knowledge, awareness and practical judgement needed to respond safely and appropriately in water-related emergencies.
Throughout the day, students showed strong interest and active participation, moving from classroom learning to practical application in a supportive and engaging environment. The training concluded successfully, giving participants essential skills that may one day help protect both themselves and others.
