New graduate students stepped into a new chapter of academic and professional growth as the Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management (GS-BATM) at Assumption University of Thailand(AU) hosted its Induction and Orientation Program 1/2026 on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at Salle d’ Expo, Assumption Hall, Hua Mak Campus. The half-day program welcomed students entering the May–August 2026 semester and set an upbeat tone for a new journey defined by ambition, innovation, and purpose.
Organized by the Office of Graduate Studies, the program welcomed new students from across GS-BATM’s wide-ranging graduate portfolio, including business, management, technology, education, hospitality and tourism, and organization development programs.
Students represented the MBA Fast Track, MBA Digital Track, MBA Double Degree, MBA Exchange Program, M.S. Management, MBA in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Master of Management in Organization Development, M.S. Information Technology Management, M.Ed. in Teaching and Technology, Ph.D. in Hospitality and Tourism Management, Ph.D. in Organization Development, and Ph.D. in Teaching and Technology.
Together, they reflected the school’s vibrant graduate community: ambitious professionals, emerging researchers, future entrepreneurs, digital leaders, educators, and changemakers preparing to shape industries and institutions across Thailand, ASEAN, and beyond.
The morning began with registration and a greeting before Assoc. Prof. Dr. Chanintorn Jittawiriyanukoon, Vice President for Research and Academic Services and Dean of the Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management, delivered the welcome remarks.
The welcome speech was delivered by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rawin Vongurai, Assistant Vice President for Research and Academic Services and Associate Dean of the Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management, who helped frame the orientation as more than an administrative beginning. It was a first step into a graduate experience shaped by discipline, opportunity, international perspective, and the confidence to grow beyond familiar boundaries.
Students were then introduced to the Basic Rules and Requirements for Graduate Students by Dr. Witsaroot Pariyaprasert, Program Director of the M.S. Investment Analysis and Management Program. His session gave students the practical foundation needed to begin their studies with clarity, confidence, and a strong sense of academic responsibility. In graduate school, success often begins with knowing the expectations, and this session helped students start on solid ground.
The program concluded with closing remarks and a group photo, followed by a networking lunch that allowed students, faculty, and staff to connect in a warm and welcoming atmosphere. Students were also invited to complete a post-event survey and receive a special GS-BATM souvenir, adding a thoughtful final touch to the day.
With its smart-casual energy, international outlook, and future-focused spirit, the Induction and Orientation Program 1/2026 gave new graduate students a clear message: they are beginning more than a degree. They are joining a graduate community built for leadership, innovation, and lifelong achievement.
