Setting the Standard: AU Sports Team Trains for a Stronger 2026

The Center for Sports and Physical Fitness , strengthened its readiness for the 2026 academic year through a focused in-house training program on volleyball officiating, bringing practical professional development directly to the university’s sports personnel.

Organized under the Student Affairs of Assumption University of Thailand (AU) , the training was designed to enhance service quality, improve sports event management, and support the effective organization of athletic activities for students and staff in the coming academic year.

The session welcomed Mr. Jirasak Pumduang, an international volleyball referee from the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball, who served as guest speaker. Drawing from his experience in international officiating, Mr. Jirasak shared in-depth knowledge, practical techniques, and professional standards used in volleyball competition management.

The program was presided over by Acting Sub Lt. Dr. Yutthana Suwannatarn, Vice President for Student Affairs, who delivered the opening remarks and encouraged participants to continue strengthening their skills in service of the AU community.

More than a technical training session, the program reflected AU’s continuing commitment to professional development behind the scenes. Every well-run match, every organized court, and every smooth student activity depends on trained staff who understand both the rules of the game and the spirit of service.

Participants received certificates upon completion, marking their commitment to raising the professional standards of sports services at the university. The training also supported the Center for Sports and Physical Fitness in preparing its team for a busy and active 2026 academic year.

Through initiatives like this, AU continued to invest in the people who help make campus life active, healthy, organized, and engaging. The whistle may sound on the court, but preparation, professionalism, and teamwork are what keep the game moving.
