ABAC School of Music Welcomes Students and Teachers from Saint Gabriel’s College

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) proudly welcomed a delegation from Saint Gabriel’s College on July 1, 2026, for a memorable campus visit that celebrated far more than academic excellence. The occasion honored the enduring legacy of the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel, whose vision has shaped generations of students and established one of Thailand’s most respected families of educational institutions.

Founded on the educational philosophy of St. Louis Marie de Montfort and carried forward by the Brothers of St. Gabriel, both Saint Gabriel’s College and Assumption University of Thailand share a common heritage built upon faith, integrity, service, and the pursuit of excellence. For well over a century, the Brothers have played a remarkable role in Thailand’s educational landscape, nurturing young men and women to become ethical leaders, compassionate citizens, and lifelong learners.

Today, that legacy lives on through a network of schools and universities that continue to educate tens of thousands of students while remaining faithful to the values that inspired their founders.

The afternoon began with a warm welcome by the Dean of Louis Nobiron School of Music in the Amaret Phithak Room, where members of the delegation were introduced to AU’s history, international vision, academic achievements, and commitment to preparing graduates for success in an increasingly interconnected world. A multimedia presentation highlighted AU’s unique identity as Thailand’s first international university and its vibrant community representing nearly one hundred nationalities.

Guests then embarked on a guided tram tour of AU’s magnificent Suvarnabhumi Campus, experiencing first-hand one of Thailand’s most distinctive university environments. Passing tree-lined avenues, iconic architecture, beautifully landscaped gardens, and modern academic facilities, the delegation gained an appreciation for a campus designed to inspire learning, creativity, and personal growth.

One of the afternoon’s most memorable moments came during the visit to ABAC School of Music, widely regarded as one of Thailand’s leading institutions for music education. Renowned for producing accomplished performers, composers, educators, and creative professionals, the School has earned an outstanding reputation both nationally and internationally

The delegation enjoyed an inspiring live performance by talented AU student musicians at The Cathedral of Learning. Their exceptional musicianship, confidence, and artistic expression captivated the audience and reflected the high standards of music education at AU. More than entertainment, the performance demonstrated how music transcends language and culture, bringing people together through a shared appreciation of creativity and human expression.

Throughout the afternoon, conversations between faculty members, administrators, and guests reinforced the close relationship shared by institutions within the Montfort family. While the campuses may serve different generations of students, they remain united by the same educational philosophy and commitment to forming graduates who combine academic excellence with strong moral character and a spirit of service.

As the visit concluded, the delegation departed with a deeper appreciation of AU’s dynamic learning environment and the enduring mission that continues to unite the Montfort Brothers’ educational institutions.

More than a campus tour, the occasion served as a celebration of a shared heritage—a reminder that while facilities evolve and generations change, the values established by the Montfort Brothers of St. Gabriel continue to inspire students, educators, and communities across Thailand.
