AU Academic Leaders Align Priorities for the Year Ahead

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) convened its Academic Senate Meeting 1/Academic Year 2026 on June 24, 2026, at Coronation Hall, Hua Mak Campus, bringing academic leaders together to review key priorities for the new academic year and strengthen the University’s continued commitment to academic excellence.

The meeting addressed the approval of previous meeting minutes, reports on teaching and learning, curriculum management, academic planning, and preparations for the first semester of Academic Year 2026. Discussions covered course specifications, lecturer information, office hours, enrollment updates, faculty development, and school-level management plans.

A key focus was the advancement of short courses under the Credit Bank System, reflecting AU’s ongoing efforts to support flexible learning pathways and future-ready education. The Senate also considered themes for the upcoming School Discussion scheduled for September 2026, creating an important platform for academic collaboration and strategic planning across faculties.

Additional matters included preparations for AU Open House in August 2026, curriculum development, quality assurance, student attendance, campus scheduling, and academic outreach activities, including the planned visit of students from Global Vision Christian School in Korea.

Through the meeting, AU reaffirmed its commitment to quality education, strong academic governance, and student-centered learning while preparing students for a changing world with knowledge, integrity, and global perspective.
