Saint Gabriel’s College Visits AU for a Morning of Exchange and Discovery

Saint Gabriel’s College visited Assumption University of Thailand (AU) on May 5, 2026, for a meaningful morning of academic exchange, campus discovery, and friendship at Suvarnabhumi Campus. The visit brought together representatives from Saint Gabriel’s College and AU’s Office of International Affairs and Thai-Chinese International College for discussion, connection, and a closer look at AU’s international learning environment.

The program began  with a discussion and exchange session hosted by AU OIA and AU TCIC. The meeting provided an opportunity to strengthen educational ties, explore future possibilities for collaboration, and welcome Saint Gabriel’s College into AU’s vibrant academic community. The session concluded with a gift exchange and group photo, marking the visit with warmth, goodwill, and the shared spirit of Gabrielite education.

A Campus Tour Through AU’s Global Learning Landscape

Following the exchange, the Saint Gabriel’s College delegation toured several of AU’s signature facilities at Suvarnabhumi Campus, beginning with the iconic Cathedral of Learning, one of the university’s most recognizable academic landmarks.

The tour continued to the Confucius Institute at AU, reflecting AU’s commitment to language, culture, and international engagement. Recent AU communications have highlighted the Confucius Institute’s ongoing role in offering Chinese language and culture programs for students and the wider university community.

The delegation also visited the PKU–AU Cultural Technology and Social Innovation Lab, a forward-looking space connected to cultural technology, creative research, and social innovation. The stop underscored AU’s growing role as a platform for cross-border academic cooperation and future-focused learning.

Exploring Creativity, Innovation, and Engineering Excellence

The tour introduced the visitors to the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, where creativity, media, storytelling, and communication meet professional practice. The delegation then continued to the Graduate Studies Building and the Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology, highlighting AU’s broad academic ecosystem across graduate education, applied sciences, engineering, and emerging technology.

A special stop at the Gabriel Mary Research and Learning Center for New Energy Vehicle Engineering showcased AU’s attention to innovation, sustainability, and the technologies shaping tomorrow’s mobility.

The visit offered Saint Gabriel’s College students and representatives a glimpse of how university-level learning connects classroom knowledge with real-world industry transformation.

A Visit Rooted in Shared Values

The campus tour concluded with visits to St. Louis Marie de Montfort’s Church and the John XXIII Conference Center, two important spaces that reflect AU’s Catholic heritage, international identity, and commitment to whole-person education.

The visit by Saint Gabriel’s College celebrated more than a campus tour. It affirmed a shared educational tradition, a spirit of friendship, and a common belief in preparing young people to think globally, act ethically, and serve society with purpose.

The morning concluded with an on-campus lunch, offering time for informal conversation and fellowship before the delegation departed AU’s Suvarnabhumi Campus.
