Bridging Minds and Missions: Chiang Mai University Leaders Visit AU

WRITER : THE AU LIBRARY

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) proudly hosted a distinguished delegation from the School of Multidisciplinary and Interdisciplinary Studies, Chiang Mai University (CMU) on May 29, 2025, at the A 72 Room, Assumption Hall, Hua Mak Campus. The academic visit was organized by AU’s Office of Graduate Studies and took place from 13.30 to 16.00 hrs.

Established in 1976 as CMU’s Graduate School, MIdS has evolved into a dynamic platform for cross-disciplinary learning, offering nine postgraduate programs that integrate diverse fields across faculties. Since its transformation in 2023, MIdS has emphasized holistic education, global partnerships, and lifelong learning paradigms—aligning strongly with AU’s own academic mission and international outlook.

During the visit, leaders from both institutions explored opportunities in curriculum design, joint research, faculty exchange, and student mobility. The dialogue underscored a mutual vision for academic excellence and a shared belief in the power of interdisciplinary approaches to solve complex, real-world problems.

This meeting marks another milestone in AU’s ongoing commitment to building bridges across institutions, disciplines, and borders—paving the way for deeper collaboration in the future.
