It has been more than 40 years since Assumption University (commonly known as ABAC) opened international programs in Thailand, which nowadays have become increasing popular among Thai and foreign students. Recently, Assumption University has cooperated with Assumption College Nakornratchasima to establish the ABAC Admission Center for Northeastern Region in Nakornratchasima, aiming to create new educational opportunities for graduating high school students and those who are interested in pursuing master and doctoral degrees in regional areas.
Rev. Brother Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President of Assumption University, revealed that both Assumption University and Assumption College Nakornratchasima are affiliated institutions under the Foundation of the Montfortian Brothers of St. Gabriel in Thailand. Having produced a numbers of quality personnel to serve the society and the country for decades, both institutions realize the importance of creating educational opportunities that enable Thailand to efficiently enter the globalization era. ABAC is the first university in Thailand to offer full international programs at tertiary level since 1969. Our graduates have proved to be high quality personnel and made a variety of contributions in their respective fields to the society. Our academic knowledge is also at the forefront of the country.
ABAC Admission Center aims to provide assistance to parents who are planning to send their children to college in Bangkok. Parents will gain direct access to useful information regarding ABAC’s institutes and available courses via our Admission Center in their region, which will help them select the right choice suitable to their children’s interest and ability. ABAC already ranks among top colleges of choice by graduating high school students and international master and doctoral degree candidates. This is because our international learning environment comprising of students from over 80 countries every year, as well as more reasonable tuition fees comparing to those of other institutes in Thailand providing the same international programs. ABAC’s campus is also wellequipped with state-of-the-art facilities and surrounded by beautiful scenery and environment.
Moreover, the Center will also serve as a training cell for Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) and provide all-in-one consultation services via the ABAC Innovation, Creativity and Enterprise (ICE Center) and ABAC Business Legal and Advisory Center. “We are planning to open more of such centers in various parts of Thailand to expand educational opportunities throughout the country and ensure that provincial students can choose their college from their own locations,” Rev. Brother Dr. Bancha concluded.
Bro. Verayuth Boonpram, Director of Assumption College Nakornratchasima, said that Assumption College Nakornratchasima is one of the 14 institutes of Foundation of the Montfortian Brothers of St. Gabriel in Thailand, under the Office of the Private Education Commission, Ministry of Education. The college was established in Nakornratchasima over 40 years ago, providing quality educational services to local community and has been generally recognized from its exceptional capability in educational management.
Assumption College Nakornratchasima offers various courses ranging from pre-primary to high school levels, following the original intention of St. Loius Marie Grignion De Montfort, who wished to see children being able to read, write, calculate, and become good members of society according to religious principles. “At present we have 12 learning facilities plus 4 dormitories, as well as more than 100 lecture rooms and laboratories. We have more than 200 Thai and foreign teachers, and over 3,000 students every year, including 30 athletic talent students.The opening of ABAC Admission Center is indeed the greatest opportunity for Assumption students to receive high quality education and become successful in national and international levels in the future.
