Cultural heritage and future-facing technology met at the “Seeing China: Decoding the Genes of Fine Traditional Chinese Culture” exhibition, with Assumption University of Thailand (AU) playing a key role in the exchange. Held on April 24 at the China Cultural Center in Bangkok, the event brought together intellectuals and enthusiasts from across Thailand and China.

 
 

On this special occasion, AU President, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran was pleased to welcome distinguished guests including His Excellency Dr. Han Zhiqiang, Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Kingdom of Thailand, along with his spouse Prof. Wang Huan. The event was also graced by Mr. Pinit Jarusombat, former Deputy Prime Minister of Thailand and President of the Thai-Chinese Cultural and Relationship Council, and Prof. Xu Kun, President of Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications.

 
 
 

The exhibition, showcasing Chinese fine art and heritage through a technological lens, was graced with the presence of AU’s President and Rector Magnificus, Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran, alongside dignitaries and scholars from Thailand and China.

The ‘Seeing China’ exhibition highlights the importance of understanding cultural roots while embracing modern advancements. This aligns with AU ’s ethos of integrating cultural awareness and technological progress in our curriculum,” remarked Rev. Bro. Bancha at the event, adding, “Such events are key in opening doors for dialogue and understanding. Witnessing China’s cultural evolution through this exhibition offers unique insights into the synthesis of tradition with innovation.
