The Christmas Festival is coming. As usual, being a Catholic institution Assumption University will celebrate it with fanfare.

On December 1, 2022, the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO) organized the AU Christmas Tree Lighting Ceremony with the theme of “The Night of Wishes.” This event was held at Scholar Square Dome 4, The Cathedral of Learning, at the Suvarnabhumi Campus.

This ceremony aimed to strengthen the Catholic image of Assumption University and inform AU students about the history and meaning of the Christmas Celebration.

Christmas literally means “the mass for Christ,” and it is one of the important festivals for Christians worldwide. The word “Christmas” comes from the Old English “Christes-messe” which means “Christ’s Mass." It is an annual festival held on December 25th to commemorate the birth of Jesus Christ.

It’s beginning to look a lot like the Christmas season at Assumption University with the return of many festivities. This first event held on December 1, 2022, was cheerfully witnessed by AU Management team members, AU Administrators, AU faculty members, AU staff, AU students, AUSO Committee Members, and the event organizers. This year's Christmas celebrations included the following colorful, exciting, and entertaining activities:

Performance by Catholic Club and AUISC

Performance by Chorus Club

Performance by Dance Club

Performance by Music Club

Fashion Show by Personal Development Class

On this auspicious occasion, Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President of the Assumption University of Thailand, was invited by Mr. Ratchaphon Chatpayak, President of AUSO, to deliver the opening speech and give away the photo contest awards to the contestants.
