Our Suvarnabhumi Campus came alive with the spirit of Songkran during our Thai Heritage Preservation Week. We want to express our deepest gratitude to everyone who contributed to the success of this festive event.

It was wonderful to see such a diverse group of students from Thailand, China, Myanmar, South Korea, and East Timor embracing the traditions of Songkran. This festival, a symbol of purification and renewal, was made even more special by the participation of our international students, who enthusiastically engaged with our cultural practices.

The presence of Rev. Bro. Amnuay and our campus elders, all in high spirits, added a profound sense of community and continuity to the celebrations. Their joy was infectious and reminded us all of the deep roots and broad reach of our shared traditions.

The delicious array of Thai cuisine—from fish maw soup to mango with sticky rice—provided a taste of Thailand's rich culinary heritage and was a highlight for many.

Our thanks also go to the Office of Thai Art and Culture, Student Affairs for organizing such a meaningful event, and to AU President Rev. Bro. Bancha Saenghiran for his inspiring words. The hard work and enthusiasm of our faculty, staff, and student volunteers were crucial in making this celebration a success.

As we celebrate Songkran today, we are reminded of its core message: a time for reflection, joy, and fostering connections. We wish everyone a very happy and safe Songkran, filled with joy, kindness, and renewal. May the spirit of this season enrich your year.

Thank you once again to all who participated and helped make the Songkran celebration at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) a wonderfully memorable day. We look forward to future celebrations where we can come together to honor and learn from each other’s cultures.
