Wai Kru (Paying Respect to Teachers Ceremony 2019)
AU students assembled to pay humble respect expressing their gratitude and appreciation to the university management, administrators and faculty members during the elaborate Wai Kru ceremony held on Thursday, September 5, 2019. The traditionally Wai Kru observances intended to strengthen student–teacher relationship, signifying students’ readiness, resilience and perseverance to learn, and requesting for instructors’ blessings. During the customarily auspicious occasion, the following groups of students were highly recognized being presented with awards and honors for their outstanding performances or sacrificially worthwhile university activities:
- Certificates of honor presented to academically outstanding students, and AU Spark Team Members who contributed to innovatively create the unique application to facilitate conveniences & technologically modern services for students.
- Honorable Pins presented to AU Student President, AUSO Committee Members, Presidents and members of various student clubs as well as Student President of each faculty.
- Honorable Plaques for the winning uniquely and creatively decorated flower-bedecked pedestal trays (students’ floral displays or arrangements).
- This culturally auspicious ritual, presided over by Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President-Rector Magnificus, took place at the John Paul II Sports Center, Suvarnabhumi Campus, was fully participated by the university high-ranking management and executives which included vice presidents, deans, department heads, directors, alongside with faculty members, staff and countless students.
