On a sunny Tuesday morning, the corridors of Assumption University of Thailand (AU), Suvarnabhumi Campus were abuzz with the spirit of international collaboration. Eight executives from Xanh Tue Duc School, Danang and Hanoi, Vietnam along with members from the World Peace Ethics Club of Dhammakaya Foundation, were welcomed into the fold of Assumption University's Suvarnabhumi Campus.

The purpose of the visit was multifaceted: to explore educational excellence, moral development, and potential future collaborations. The Vietnamese educators, inspired by their own philosophy of Morality, Wisdom, and Effort, were keen to see how Assumption University integrates these values into its academic environment.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sureepong Phothongsunan, Dean of the Theodore Maria School of Arts, along with Dr. Jaruwan Puangmalee and other faculty members, rolled out the welcome mat. The day was filled with enriching discussions, a tour of the facilities, and a glimpse into the university's innovative projects.

It's worth noting that Assumption University has a rich history in ethical studies, often bringing home top prizes from the annual World Peace Ethics Contest. The video Scott Smith Wins Prestigious Dammakaya Award, shows Dr. Scott, a faculty member with a passion for teaching and ethics, the first to bring home the gold in 2010. His win may have set a precedent, inspiring a new generation of students and faculty to engage in ethical and peace studies. In recent years, AU has been well represented, bringing home up to 17 awards in several categories. Mr. Thimothy James Capiz, a 2nd-year Filipino student, from Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, has brought home the top prize most recently.

Both parties left the meeting room with more than just insights; they left with the possibility of future collaborations. In a world increasingly in need of ethical leadership and peaceful coexistence, this meeting serves as a small but significant step toward a better future.
