On June 22, 2023, a group of 41 members from The University of Santo Tomas - Legazpi (UST - Legazpi), The Premier Dominican University of Bicol, Philippines, visited the Assumption University of Thailand (AU) at Suvarnabhumi Campus. The group was led by Rev. Fr. Ernesto M. Arceo, O.P., STL, Ph.D., Rector, and President of UST - Legazpi.
At Amaretpitak Room, The Cathedral of Learning building, the visit commenced with a warm welcome speech by Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, President, providing visitors with valuable information about Assumption University.
Mr. Glen Vivian Chatelier, Director of the Office of International Affairs, guided the group on a tour of the AU Library, the Chapel of St. Louis Marie de Montfort, and the John Paul II Sports Center.
This visit aims to empower the university’s management teams through field exposure and maintain strong bonds among each other as we strive for excellence in delivering quality educational services to our community. The UST - Legazpi celebrates its 75th Founding Anniversary this year (2023) with the theme “Vita Gratitudinis: Celebrating the Enduring Thomasian Tradition.” In line with this theme, the UST-Legazpi Officials will tour various locations in the Land of Smiles-Thailand from June 19 - 24, 2023.
