WRITER: CONFUCIUS INSTITUTE AT ASSUMPTION UNIVERSITY
On October 10, 2022, 68 students from Streesmutprakan School, led by Ms. Duangdara Nettwong (นางสาวดวงดารา เนตรวงค์), vice principal of Streesmutprakan School, and 6 other teachers, visited Assumption University of Thailand (AU) at Ammaret Phithak Room, the Cathedral of Learning Building, Suvarnabhumi Campus.
On this occasion, the students learned about the faculties and the study life in AU by Office of the University Registrar and it helps students make better choices about their higher education. The students also get a lot of information about Theodore Maria School of Arts and the curriculum of the Business Chinese Department in Theodore Maria School of Arts by Dr. Nanta Thongtaweewattana and Dr. Triporn Kasempremchit.
Ms. Yang Hairong, Chinese director of Confucius Institute at Assumption University (CIAU）, gave a short presentation about CIAU to the students and invited the students to CIAU, CL Building, 7th floor, to experience Chinese Cultural activities, such as Tai Chi, Chinese Circular Fan Painting, Beijing Opera Masks Painting and Chinese Knots Making.
This visit aims to provide knowledge to all students about the teaching and learning environments and facilities in AU and it also introduce students to the Business Chinese Department in Theodore Maria School of Arts. During the Chinese cultural experience activities, organized by the CIAU, the students can also learn more about Chinese culture and learn some basic Chinese expressions.
In the afternoon, Office of the University Registrar hosted the visitors on a Campus tour which gave impressive memory to the students.
