Theodore Maria School of Arts celebrated a major academic milestone.
Assumption University of Thailand (AU) and the Theodore Maria School of Arts proudly celebrated a significant achievement as The New English Teacher journal, widely known as the NET Journal, earned a prestigious Q1 ranking in Literature and Literary Theory.
The achievement placed the journal in the 83rd percentile globally, ranking 197 out of 1,186 international publications in its category. For the School of Arts, the recognition marked an important step forward in strengthening AU’s international research profile and showcasing the scholarly work of its academic community.
A Journal on the Rise
The Q1 ranking reflected the steady upward growth of the NET Journal’s CiteScore performance and the dedication of its editorial team, reviewers, contributing authors, and academic supporters.
Fully indexed in respected academic databases including Scopus, the ASEAN Citation Index (ACI), and the Thai Journal Citation Index (TCI), the journal continued to strengthen its visibility among international researchers, scholars, and educators.
The recognition also affirmed the journal’s role as a trusted academic platform for scholarship in English language teaching, literature, linguistics, and related fields.
Celebrating a Shared Scholarly Success
The university extended its warmest congratulations to the NET Journal editorial team, reviewers, contributing authors, and academic supporters whose commitment helped advance the journal’s reputation and impact.
Special recognition was given to the strong editorial team led by Dr. Rusma Kalra, whose collaborative efforts helped guide the journal’s continued development and international visibility. The journal’s progress was further supported by the TCI-TRF-SCOPUS Collaboration Project, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Narongrit Sombatsompop, which provided important guidance throughout the journal’s advancement.
The latest online issue, Volume 20, No. 1, January to June 2026, is made available for reading, with manuscript submissions welcomed through the official Theodore Maria School of Arts journal portal.
For Assumption University and the Theodore Maria School of Arts, the achievement represented more than a ranking. It reflected years of academic commitment, international collaboration, and steady progress toward greater research excellence.
