Recognition honors excellence in teaching integrating psychology, humanities, and ethics with AI-enhanced active learning.
Ajarn Piyanan Sarabol, Chairperson of the Department of General Education at Assumption University of Thailand’s Faculty of Arts, received a Certificate of Recognition as an “Exemplary GE Teaching Role Model” on August 13, 2026.
The award recognized her best practice in General Education teaching under the “GE Re-imagined: Dare to Re-imagine for Optimal Learning Outcomes” project. The initiative was organized by the Subcommittee on Classroom Teaching and Learning Development of the Central Region Network of Higher Education Development, with support from the Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
The certificate presentation ceremony was held at the Central Lecture Building of Srinakharinwirot University.
Ajarn Piyanan was selected following an expert evaluation of her teaching practice. The assessment examined the clarity of her teaching methods, the alignment of classroom activities with intended learning outcomes, the strength of her instructional design and the practical value of her approach for students.
Her work integrated the humanities, psychology and ethics through active learning while incorporating artificial intelligence into contemporary classroom practice. This approach helped students connect academic knowledge with critical thinking, ethical reflection and personal development.
The recognition highlighted Ajarn Piyanan’s contribution to advancing General Education at Assumption University and affirmed AU’s continuing commitment to teaching that responds thoughtfully to the changing needs of students.
