Assumption University of Thailand (AU) golfers delivered two impressive performances in national collegiate and junior competitions, earning a team bronze medal and an individual runner-up finish.
The AU Golf Club captured third place in the second round of the Chang Golf U-Champions Cup 2026, held from July 11–12, 2026, at Lake View Resort & Golf Club in Phetchaburi.
Representing four AU schools, the team comprised:
Ms. Pusita Purahong, Theodore Maria School of Arts
Mr. Ratchasak Surasuija, Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts
Ms. Chutikarn Nuchit, Theophane Venard School of Food Biotechnology and Innovation
Mr. Bhudinin Sriornrod, Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics
The AU golfers recorded a combined score of 473 to secure the bronze medal. Rangsit University claimed first place with 452, followed by Sripatum University with 454.
The achievement reflected the players’ consistency, teamwork and composure throughout the competition, while also highlighting the strength of student talent drawn from across AU’s academic community.
Adding to the University’s golfing success, Mr. Praratakorn “Namo” Prathumsit of the Theodore Maria School of Arts earned first runner-up in the Chang Thailand Junior Golf Circuit.
The tournament was held from June 27–28, 2026, at Rancho Charnvee Resort & Country Club in Khao Yai, Nakhon Ratchasima. His strong finish placed him among the competition’s leading young golfers and marked another proud sporting achievement for AU.
Together, these results demonstrated that AU students continued to excel both in the classroom and on the course—proving that dedication, discipline and a well-timed swing could go a very long way.
