AU Food Biotechnology School Builds New Link with VNU Asia Pacific

AU’s Food Biotechnology and Innovation School strengthened industry connections through a new MoU.

The Theophane Venard School of Food Biotechnology and Innovation at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) signed a Memorandum of Understanding with VNU Exhibitions Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. on Monday, May 25, 2026, at Hua Mak Campus.

The agreement marked another step in the School’s growing commitment to connect academic learning with Thailand’s dynamic food, biotechnology, life sciences, and exhibition industries.

The signing brought together two organizations with shared interests in innovation, professional networking, industry engagement, and future-ready talent development. Through the partnership, AU students and faculty are expected to gain stronger access to industry platforms, professional communities, and practical learning opportunities connected to food biotechnology, health innovation, and related sectors.

A Partnership with Industry Reach

VNU Asia Pacific is an international exhibition organizer based in Bangkok. The company operates across key exhibition markets in Southeast Asia and is part of the wider VNU Group, a global exhibition company connected with Royal Dutch Jaarbeurs. Its portfolio includes trade shows and event platforms across agriculture technology, animal husbandry, pet business, food, life sciences, biotechnology, health technology, and cybersecurity.

For the Theophane Venard School of Food Biotechnology and Innovation, the collaboration aligned closely with its mission to prepare students for careers in food technology, biotechnology, bio-entrepreneurship, research, and innovation-driven industries. The School offers programs in Food Technology and Food Biotechnology and emphasizes practical training, industry networking, and career pathways connected to Thailand’s future economy.

Opening Doors Beyond the Classroom

The MoU reflected AU’s continued effort to make learning more connected, more applied, and more responsive to the world students will enter after graduation.

For students in food biotechnology and innovation, partnerships with industry leaders such as VNU Asia Pacific create valuable pathways to understand how science, business, exhibitions, and professional networks work together. These experiences can help students see how research and innovation move from the classroom and laboratory into markets, events, partnerships, and real-world impact.

The agreement also supported the School’s broader focus on entrepreneurship, applied science, and professional exposure. By working with an organization deeply involved in regional exhibitions and business platforms, AU strengthened opportunities for students to engage with the communities shaping the future of food, health, biotechnology, and innovation in Asia.
