Assumption University of Thailand celebrated another major milestone in academic publishing as ABAC Journal achieved strong global recognition in the latest Scopus CiteScore 2025 rankings.
ABAC Journal proudly marked another significant achievement in its continued rise as an internationally recognized academic journal.
According to the newly released Scopus CiteScore 2025, ABAC Journal secured Q1 rankings in four academic categories and a Q2 ranking in one category, reflecting a clear advancement from its CiteScore 2024 performance. The journal’s CiteScore increased from 3.2 in 2024 to 4.4 in 2025, marking substantial progress in both academic visibility and scholarly impact.
For every researcher, publishing in a Q1 journal is a career milestone. For ABAC Journal, earning Q1 rankings in four Scopus CiteScore categories showed that the journal has become a trusted destination for that level of scholarship. The 2025 results marked a striking rise, with ABAC Journal reaching the 99th percentile in Literature and Literary Theory, 85th percentile in Social Sciences, 80th percentile in Economics, Econometrics and Finance, and 77th percentile in Education, while also achieving a strong Q2 ranking in Business, Management and Accounting.
ABAC Journal has moved from emerging recognition to global relevance. From mostly Q4 rankings in our first year (2018) to four Q1 rankings in 2025, the journal’s progress reflected sustained editorial leadership, stronger research quality, and an expanding international profile. For Assumption University of Thailand, it was a proud signal that ABAC Journal is not only gaining visibility, but helping shape scholarly conversations across disciplines.
The results showed steady growth across all indexed categories from 2018 to 2025, with ABAC Journal rising from lower quartile rankings in earlier years to a strong international position in the most recent CiteScore release. In Literature and Literary Theory, the journal maintained its position at the 99th percentile, while Social Sciences, Economics, Education, and Business categories all recorded notable increases.
This achievement reflected ABAC Journal’s continued commitment to publishing high-quality, rigorous, and impactful research that contributes to academic knowledge and professional practice across disciplines.
