On February 9, 2026, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) and the St. Luke School of Medicine, through the coordination of the Assistant Dean for Administration and International Affairs, had the honor of welcoming Prof. Michael G. Stewart, M.D., M.P.H., Senior Associate Dean of International Affairs and Affiliates, Weill Cornell Medicine, Cornell University, New York, United States of America, on the occasion of his courtesy visit to AU, Suvarnabhumi Campus.
The visit was arranged to discuss the feasibility and potential framework for academic and medical education collaboration between Weill Cornell Medicine (officially Joan and Sanford I. Weill Medical College of Cornell University), United States of America, and the St. Luke School of Medicine, AU.
On this occasion, the delegation was warmly received by Asst. Prof. Dr. Uree Cheasakul, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Soonthorn Pibulncharoensit, University Registrar; Clinical Prof. Suwat Benjaponpitak, M.D., Dean of the St. Luke School of Medicine, Mr. Niti Mukayavongsa, Executive of the Pongsak Viddayakorn Foundation, along with executives from the Office of the Vice President for Academic Affairs, and faculty administrators and members of the St. Luke School of Medicine.
The meeting and reception were held at the King Room, The Cathedral of Learning (CL) Building, and at the SLM Building, St. Luke School of Medicine.
