A Warm Welcome at AU
Assumption University of Thailand (AU) warmly welcomed representatives from Istituto Marangoni—one of Italy’s most prestigious institutions for fashion, art, and design education—to its Suvarnabhumi Campus on 27 January 2026.
The delegation included Mr. Kristian Steinberg, Director of Education; Mr. Leonardo Marra, Head of Digital and Sales for APAC and China; and Ms. Tarn Jearasakulpol, APAC Enrollment Advisor. They were greeted at Sala Jaturamukpaichit by representatives from AU’s Public Relations and Office of International Affairs teams and toured key university landmarks, including The Chapel of St. Louis Marie de Montfort , The Cathedral of Learning, and the AU Museum featuring the Resonance – Thailand–China Arts Exhibition.
Beyond exploring AU’s heritage, the Istituto Marangoni delegation held discussions with academic leaders from MSME, Communication Arts, Fine Art, Architecture and Design, and the Office of International Affairs. The meeting focused on fostering academic exchange, interdisciplinary learning, and future joint initiatives that connect Italian design excellence with ASEAN-based education.
Mr. Kristian Steinberg also conducted a talk titled “Holistic Approach to the Future” for AU students. He emphasized the growing role of artificial intelligence as both an enabler and creative companion, showing how AI can support the visualization of abstract ideas, assist in testing concepts, and transform innovative thinking into tangible outcomes. His session encouraged students to integrate creativity with technology and develop forward-looking approaches to design and communication.
A Shared Vision Forward
The visit concluded with meaningful discussions reaffirming a shared commitment to collaboration and continued dialogue. AU extends its sincere appreciation to Mr. Steinberg and the Istituto Marangoni team for a fruitful exchange that strengthened academic ties and inspired new perspectives for creative education at AU.
