Students from the Department of French for International Business, Theodore Maria School of Arts at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) proudly represented their program at the 46th Annual Celebration of the Thai Association of French Teachers (ATPF), on November 30, 2025, held under the patronage of Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn. The 2025 event embraced the theme “France–Thailand: 340 Years of Cooperation and Friendship.”
Honouring 340 Years of Franco–Thai Relations
A. Dhapanita Sanguanbhokai, Chairperson, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Romain Benassaya, accompanied and encouraged the students throughout the event hosted at Assumption College, Bangrak. Their guidance and presence underscored the department’s commitment to academic excellence, intercultural competence, and real-world language application.
Creative Talent on Stage in the Saynète Competition
Four second-year students – Yanisa Kruabsungnoen, Napasorn Kamonsunthornroj, Pannawat Supapas, and Karan Saingsai – represented the department in the saynète (short sketch) competition. Competing against teams from 13 universities across Thailand, they earned a Consolation Prize, placing fifth overall. Their performance highlighted not only their French-language proficiency but also their teamwork, stage presence, and creative interpretation of the event’s theme.
Storytelling Excellence in French
In the French Storytelling Contest, three third-year students – Yanisa Siangthong, Patcharee Jayen, and Manu Goize Chantharanabut – also received a Consolation Prize. Their engaging narratives and confident delivery reflected the high standard of preparation in the Department of French for International Business and the students’ growing confidence as future professionals in international business and cross-cultural communication.
Building Global-Ready Graduates
Participation in ATPF competitions gives students an opportunity to apply their French skills in authentic, competitive settings while networking with peers and educators from other institutions nationwide. The achievements of these students demonstrate how language learning, performance, and creativity come together to prepare graduates for careers in international business, tourism, diplomacy, and beyond.
