Public Art Academic and Community Service Project “Co-Creation Public Art for Wellbeing and Cultural Exchange”

WRITER: MONTFORT DEL ROSARIO SCHOOL OF ARCHITECTURE AND DESIGN

A prototype community art project initiative under the theme “Art for Wellbeing, Culture for Community”, blending local identity with creative innovation to strengthen the community’s creative economy.

Graduate students from Assumption University of Thailand (AU)’s M.A. in Art and Design program. Directed by Asst. Prof. Chutarat Laomanacharoen and Ajarn. Orn_Laor Homsettee faculty member School of Architecture and Design under the guidance of Dr. Apichart Intravisit in designing the learning process leading to public art criteria,students worked with local residents to co-created four symbolic works—FULU, The Living Vine and the Voice of the Dragon, Wind Weaving, and Green Vine Gathering—reflecting prosperity, protection, and unity.
