In a moving show of solidarity and compassion, the Assumption University of Thailand (AU) community gathered to pay its respects during funeral rites for the late father of Asst. Prof. Dr. Siriwan Kitcharoen and Dr. Benjawan Apinunrungrroj, joining the bereaved family in a moment marked by grief, grace, and deep human connection.
The University’s senior leadership attended in force, led by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of Assumption University of Thailand, together with vice presidents, deans, and members of the university community, underscoring the institution’s enduring commitment to standing beside its faculty and staff not only in times of achievement, but also in times of sorrow.
Held at Wat Bangna Nok in Bangkok, the gathering reflected the close-knit spirit of the AU family. In an atmosphere of solemn remembrance, university leaders and colleagues offered their condolences and support to the family of the deceased, honoring a life remembered with reverence and love.
The presence of the University’s leadership served as a quiet but powerful expression of empathy. It also reflected the values at the heart of AU: compassion, unity, and the belief that a true academic community is built not only through scholarship and service, but through care for one another in life’s most difficult moments.
