The Office of Student Affairs, Assumption University of Thailand (AU), organized SA Wellness Week during AU Club Week “Island Explorer” 2026 from June 30 to July 2 at AU Plaza, creating a cheerful campus space where students could pause, recharge, explore student life, and take care of both body and mind.
Held under the theme of student well-being, the activity invited AU students to take a well-deserved break from classes, projects, and busy campus life. The event featured health services, physical activities, music, mental wellness support, art relaxation, games, giveaways, and friendly engagement from the Student Affairs team.
The “Island Explorer” theme reflected university life as a journey of discovery. Each club, student organization, international community, and wellness activity offered students a chance to explore new interests, develop leadership skills, build meaningful friendships, and grow personally and professionally.
The event’s objectives were to introduce students to the wide variety of clubs and student organizations at AU, encourage participation in extracurricular activities under the concept of “Activity for All,” and promote holistic well-being through SA Wellness Week, with attention to physical, mental, emotional, social, and spiritual wellness
At the Physical Wellness Zone, students joined fun sports and exercise activities hosted by the Center for Sports and Physical Fitness, including football goal-kicking games and registration for health-promoting programs such as gym ball, yoga, and Dance Workout. Students also received free basic health check-ups provided by Ruamchai Pracharak Hospital, helping them stay aware of their health while balancing study, activities, and campus life.
The Mental Wellness Zone gave students a calm and supportive space to relax and reflect. The “Music Friendly” activities allowed students to unwind through music, while the Career Development and Counseling Center offered mental health assessments to help students better understand their emotional well-being. Students also took part in “Art Relax,” a creative activity supported by AUAA that used art to encourage emotional calm, self-expression, and stress relief.
The event officially opened on June 30 with remarks by Mr. Saharath Dowpiset, Director, Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs. Speaking on behalf of the Assumption University Student Organization, he welcomed the Vice President for Student Affairs, faculty members, students, and guests, noting that AU Club Week and SA Wellness Week created space for students to discover communities, activities, friendships, leadership opportunities, and healthier ways to live university life.
Mr. Saharath then respectfully invited Acting Sub Lt. Dr. Yuttana Suwannatarn, Vice President for Student Affairs, to deliver the opening remarks and officially declare AU Club Week “Island Explorer” & SA Wellness Week 2026 open. Following the ceremony, Acting Sub Lt. Dr. Yuttana and Rev. Bro. Charnnarong Boonphram honored the event by visiting the student activity booths and Student Affairs wellness booths.
Throughout the event, students enjoyed fun activities and surprises from the Office of Student Affairs, adding warmth and energy to AU Club Week. SA Wellness Week reminded students that wellness is not something to save for later. It is part of learning well, living well, and growing well at AU.
The event reflected AU’s continued commitment to student care, campus engagement, and a supportive university community where students are encouraged to look after themselves and one another.
