On April 29, 2026, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) and National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT) formally strengthened ties on Wednesday with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at expanding academic collaboration, innovation, and future-ready talent development in Thailand.
Held at the NT Academy in Nonthaburi, the ceremony brought together leaders from higher education and the telecommunications sector in a shared commitment to learning, research, and national progress.
The agreement was signed following remarks on the importance of cooperation by Colonel Sanpachai Huvanandana, Ph.D., President and CEO of National Telecom Public Company Limited (NT), and Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D., President of AU.
The partnership is expected to create new pathways for students, faculty, and industry professionals through knowledge exchange, applied learning opportunities, and initiatives aligned with Thailand’s rapidly evolving digital economy.
For AU, the agreement reflected its longstanding mission of preparing graduates who can thrive in a world shaped by technology, ethics, and global connection. Known for combining academic rigor with real-world relevance, the university has consistently sought partnerships that bridge classrooms with industry and ideas with impact.
For NT, Thailand’s national telecommunications leader, the collaboration underscored the company’s role not only as a provider of infrastructure and connectivity, but also as a contributor to the country’s human capital and innovation ecosystem.
Following the signing ceremony, representatives from both institutions joined for a commemorative group photograph, marking the beginning of what both sides hope will be a dynamic and meaningful partnership.
In an era when universities and industry must move in step, the message of the day was clear: the future belongs to those willing to build it together.
