A signing ceremony for an inter-university cooperation agreement between Assumption University of Thailand (AU) and SWUFE was recently held at the Liulin Campus. The event was attended by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitti Phothikitti, Vice President for Education Innovation and Graduate Studies, Rev. Bro. Achin Tengtrakul,f.s.g., Ph. D., Deputy Director of Saint Gabriel college, and representatives from both institutions.
During the meeting, representatives of AU highlighted SWUFE’s strong academic reputation, particularly in finance and economics. SWUFE is ranked 193rd in the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2026 and is among the top 4 universities in China in this field. Both sides also emphasized the growing collaboration and mutual trust built through frequent exchanges over the past year.
The partnership will focus on developing joint academic programs, including “1+2+1” and “3+1” pathways in Finance and Banking, in collaboration with the University of Nottingham. These programs are aligned with international standards set by the CFA Institute, aiming to prepare students for global careers in finance.
Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitti expressed appreciation for the cooperation and highlighted the strong interest of Thai students in pursuing further studies in China, particularly in FINTECH and business fields. Rev. Bro. Achin also emphasized the importance of building a strong student pipeline to support long-term Thailand–China educational collaboration.
The ceremony concluded with the signing of a memorandum of understanding, along with project agreements between relevant academic units of both universities and Saint Gabriel’s College, marking a significant step toward deeper academic cooperation and global talent development.
