On January 17, 2026, Assumption University of Thailand (AU), in collaboration with the Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, hosted the

“Resonance: China–Thai Arts Exchange Exhibition” at the AU Museum, Suvarnabhumi Campus, marking a significant new chapter in China–Thailand artistic and academic exchange. The exhibition is also an important part of the celebrations commemorating the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Thailand.

A major highlight of the event was the official unveiling of the Overseas Teaching Center of the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA)—one of China’s most influential and top-ranked art institutions—at AU. This marks the establishment of CAFA’s first overseas teaching center, further strengthening international cooperation in art education.

In addition to the co-organizer, Hebei Academy of Fine Arts, the exhibition showcased 80 artworks from eight universities. Participating Thai institutions included Chulalongkorn University, Chiang Mai University, Silpakorn University, and Srinakharinwirot University. Chinese participating institutions included the Central Academy of Fine Arts (CAFA), China Academy of Art, Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, and Sichuan Fine Arts Institute. Together, these institutions promote international academic exchange and cultural dialogue.

The exhibition also represents a collaborative effort involving four leading Thai universities and five prominent Chinese art institutions, aiming to advance the AU Museum’s development into a regional art hub.
