Assumption University of Thailand (AU) through the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Faculty of Built Environment from the prestigious University of Malaya, Malaysia, on August 13, 2025.


The signing ceremony took place at the Cathedral of Learning, Suvarnabhumi Campus. The University of Malaya delegation was warmly welcomed upon arrival, followed by a formal program that highlighted shared visions and future cooperation.
The ceremony opened with welcome remarks, including the AU Anthem and video presentations from both institutions. Dr. Chainarong Rungraengporn, Dean of MSME, delivered the opening speech, setting the tone for a partnership built on innovation, education, and regional synergy.
Professor Sr Ts. Dr. Azlan Shah Ali, Dean of the Faculty of Built Environment at the University of Malaya, spoke about the opportunities this collaboration would unlock in terms of joint research, academic exchange, and curriculum development focused on sustainable urban planning and smart infrastructure.

The event culminated in the formal signing of the MoU, followed by a group photo to commemorate this new academic alliance.
This partnership reinforces both institutions’ commitment to advancing education and research excellence across Southeast Asia.
