In a heartfelt display of loyalty and gratitude, Assumption University of Thailand (AU) paid tribute to His Majesty King Maha Vajiralongkorn Phra Vajiraklaochaoyuhua in advance of the royal birthday, a day of national significance and profound reverence for the Thai people.
On Friday, July 25, 2025, homage-paying ceremonies were held at both the Suvarnabhumi Campus and the Hua Mak Campus, led with dignity and grace by the University Leaders. The event was organized under the auspices of the Office of Thai Art and Culture, Student Affairs reflecting AU’s steadfast devotion to the Crown and to the cherished traditions of the Kingdom.
At Suvarnabhumi Campus, the AU community assembled at the King’s Room,The Cathedral of Learning. The proceedings included the presentation of a floral tribute before His Majesty’s portrait, the singing of the Royal Anthem, and the recitation of felicitous poems in both Thai and English. The audience then joined in unison to sing the deeply moving royal hymn, Sadudee Jomracha, echoing their enduring loyalty and heartfelt blessings for His Majesty’s continued reign of peace and prosperity.
A parallel ceremony at Hua Mak Campus in the afternoon followed the same solemn structure, with participants dressed in yellow to symbolize fidelity and national unity under the benevolent leadership of His Majesty the King.
This royal commemoration echoed similar ceremonies held across the Kingdom, as directed by the Government Public Relations Department (PRD), with Buddhist rites and acts of merit offered nationwide to honor the auspicious occasion.
As a humble academic institution under royal patronage, AU proudly reaffirms its allegiance and deep admiration for His Majesty the King, whose wisdom and compassion continue to inspire the nation and its people.
Please be advised that both AU campuses will be closed on Monday, July 28, 2025, in observance of His Majesty the King’s Birthday, a national public holiday.
