On 24 August 2025, students and faculty from the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME), Assumption University of Thailand (AU), joined hands with the Chan Krung Nawat Withee Community Enterprise (วิสาหกิจชุมชนชานกรุงนวัตวิถี) in Lat Krabang District, Bangkok, for a meaningful field visit under the Youth Volunteer Project 2025, supported by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation.
Hands-On Learning, Community Impact
The project, titled “From Chan Krung Sugarcane to Creative Products : Adding Value and Building Sustainability” centered on co-developing sugarcane-based products that embody both local identity and market potential.
A highlight of the day was a community-led big cleaning activity, carried out in preparation for implementing Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards—a key step toward strengthening product quality and safety.
Innovation and Business Support
The MSME team collaborated with the community to develop a new product, sugarcane with hog plum juice, combining traditional ingredients with creative flair. Students also contributed by collecting and analyzing financial data to improve the community enterprise’s accounting system, enhancing transparency and operational efficiency.
Digital Marketing Boost
To raise product visibility, the students supported the community in :
- Creating TikTok content to engage younger audiences
- Improving the layout and messaging of the existing Facebook page
- Designing a promotional vinyl banner to strengthen offline marketing
Building Skills, Building Communities
This hands-on collaboration reflected the project’s mission to combine academic learning with social impact. Through meaningful engagement, MSME students contributed to sustainable community development while gaining practical experience in product innovation, financial literacy, digital marketing, and business planning.
