WRITER : MARTIN DE TOURS SCHOOL OF MANAGEMENT AND ECONOMICS

On 23 August 2025, the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics (MSME),Assumption University of Thailand (AU), continued its engagement under the Youth Volunteer Project 2025, supported by the Office of the Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation, with a field visit to the Environmental Conservation Community Enterprise Group (วิสาหกิจชุมชนกลุ่มรักษ์สิ่งแวดล้อม) in Pathum Thani Province.

From Waste to Worth

The project, titled “Development of Broom Products from Recycled Bottles” focuses on transforming household plastic waste into marketable cleaning products—promoting both environmental sustainability and local income generation.

Listening and Co-Creating Solutions

During the visit, the MSME team held a collaborative discussion with community members to better understand their needs. A key area identified was the need for stronger public relations and online visibility. In response, students committed to supporting the community by :

  • Enhancing promotion through social media platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok
  • Designing a new brochure, X-stand, and vinyl banner to strengthen offline marketing and brand identity

Experiential Learning with Impact

This initiative reflected MSME’s commitment to sustainable development, community empowerment, and experiential learning. By engaging in real-world problem-solving, students not only applied academic knowledge but also contributed meaningfully to strengthening grassroots enterprises.
