[Bangkok, Thailand] Assumption University of Thailand proudly recognizes Miss Lin Lett Yati, affectionately known as 'Summer,' for her outstanding leadership, unwavering dedication, and remarkable contributions and wishes her, and her team, the best as they take the helm of Assumption University’s International Student Committee (AUISC). Miss Lin Lett Yati is currently studying for a Bachelor of Science in Design Business and Future Industries at AU’s Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design.
Originally from Myanmar, Summer faced various challenges during her upbringing. Born into a middle-class family, she discovered her artistic talent early on and achieved remarkable success, winning numerous art competitions in her high school townships.
Alongside her artistic pursuits, Summer embraced the opportunity to learn English at the American Center, Myanmar, driven by her parents' background in the hotel industry. This language proficiency proved invaluable as she embarked on her academic journey at Assumption University, where she has demonstrated exceptional leadership skills.
In her role as President of the International Student Committee, Summer has exemplified strong leadership qualities and a deep commitment to creating a supportive and inclusive environment for international students. Under her guidance, the committee plans to organize a wide range of initiatives, including cultural exchanges, workshops, and community outreach programs, fostering intercultural understanding and unity.
Summer's guiding principle, "This too will pass," reflects her optimistic outlook on life and her belief that challenges can be overcome with perseverance. Her resilience and positive mindset have played a significant role in shaping her journey and inspiring others to embrace a similar approach.
If a book were to be written about Summer's life, it would aptly be titled "Beyond the Door." This title symbolizes her hidden depths and the unique qualities that lie beyond initial impressions, a testament to her complexity and multifaceted nature.
Looking ahead, Summer envisions completing her master's degree and embarking on a fulfilling professional career. In 20 years, she aspires to strike a balance between her successful career and personal happiness. When retirement approaches in 40 years, she plans to seize every opportunity, dedicating her time to pursuing her passions and living a fulfilling life without any regrets.
