AU Welcomes Delegation from University of Leicester to Strengthen Academic Ties

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) proudly welcomed a distinguished delegation from the University a delegation from the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. The visit, coordinated by AU’s Office of International Affairs, took place at Suvarnabhumi Campus and marked a promising chapter in potential academic collaboration.

Founded as a living memorial after World War I, the University of Leicester was built on the belief that education brings hope and can change lives—a vision that resonates deeply with AU’s mission. Now celebrating its centennial, Leicester is home to more than 30,000 students and has earned global recognition for research excellence in fields such as aerospace, health sciences, and archaeology.

As Assumption University of Thailand (AU) and New Jersey City University (NJCU) proudly celebrate the 10th anniversary of their academic partnership, a milestone event was held during an official visit to NJCU by an AU delegation, led by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph.D.,President of AU. The AU delegation received a warm and gracious welcome from NJCU’s senior leadership team, deans, and faculty members from the Business School, Computer Science, Education, Psychology, Music Business, and Film & Media Production programs. Special thanks to Mr. Craig Katz and Ms. Carol Hope Grant from NJCU’s International Office, who generously hosted the visit.

This connection, fostered through the Network of International Business Schools (NIBS), reflects a shared vision and deep mutual respect.
