19 high school juniors and seniors from Ramkhamhaeng Advent International School (RAIS) visited Assumption University (AU) to experience teaching and learning environments and facilities offered by the University at Suvarnabhumi Campus on February 8, 2022.

The students visited Communication Arts Studio at Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, which is a 4-story building consisting of a black box theater and studios for photography, voice recording, and video shooting and production. The group had a chance to learn how to operate tools and equipment used in these studios including a control surface and a green screen.

At Vincent Mary School of Engineering, the faculty members demonstrated the operation on the computer’s software and hardware, electrical system, robot operating system used in industries, and aircraft maintenance engineer. The students also had an opportunity to experience a full flight simulator in the school.

 

The last session was a visit to True Lab for a presentation on new AU academic programs:

  1. Design & Digital Innovation (DDI): the AU Advanced & Innovative Business Administration Program, specialized in equipping graduates towards becoming successful entrepreneurs in this digital age;
  2. Imagineer Media Entrepreneurship (IME): the innovative communication arts program designed for the metaverse where students will be equipped with four skills, which are communication, design, business, and information technology needed for the future;
  3. AU Double – Degree Program: a dual degree program that can be completed within four years with the choices among Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics, Vincent Mary School of Science and Technology, Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts, Theophane Venard School of Biotechnology, and Louis Nobiron School of Music, to provide students more freedom in education.
