Assumption University of Thailand has visited 4 Community Enterprises who participated in the OPOAI-C project at Ratchaburi province. The first stop was at Community Enterprise of Safe Fruit Production at Ban Rang Si Mok, Dumnern Saduak subdistrict (วิสาหกิจชุมชนผลิตผลไม้ปลอดภัยบ้านรางสีหมอก).

 

 

Community Enterprise of Safe Fruit Production at Ban Rang Si Mok is a producer of young fresh aromatic coconuts, processed young coconut flesh and young aromatic coconut water distributed throughout Thailand. The Enterprise has recently passed GMP for young aromatic coconut water production plant with small scale machines, aiding the growth of demands.



 

 

Since young aromatic coconuts from Ratchaburi has been announced in 2015 as Geographical Indicator or GI product, consumers longing to have a taste of freshness that is unique from coconuts someplace else.

Community Enterprise of Safe Fruit Production at Ban Rang Si Mok has joined the OPOAI-C project with intention to develop a new product related to young coconuts.

Theophabe Venard School of Biotechnology, Assumption University has assigned Dr. Roungdao Klinjapo from Department of Food Technology to supervise the consult and development. The new product developed is young aromatic coconut tablet which will further be filmed on its production and technology transfer on Oct 11, 2021, at School of Biotechnology, Hua Mak campus.
