Assumption University of Thailand’s in collaboration with the Asia Pacific School Psychology Association (APSPA), has successfully concluded the "Building Bridges: A Workshop on Resilience and Mental Wellness" at the Hua Mak Campus, Salle d'Expo Room, Assumption Hall.

Organized by the Graduate School of Human Sciences, the event took place from 09.00 to 16.30 hrs. and attracted a diverse audience including teachers, parents, students, and individuals interested in mental health. The workshop was a crucial part of the "Be a Rainbow to Someone’s Clouds" suicide prevention campaign.

Esteemed speakers such as Dr. Parvathy Varma, Asst. Prof. Dr. Santhosh Mohanan, Dr. Donald Johnson, Asst. Prof. Dr. Rajitha Menon and Dr. Davud Shahidi, shared their expertise on topics ranging from recognizing warning signs and preventing suicide, to building holistic resilience and understanding cyberbullying.

Highlights of the Workshop:

Identification of subtle cues indicating mental distress.
Importance of awareness among educators, parents, and peers.
Practical guidance on spotting signs in various environments.

Proactive measures for intervention and support.
Emphasizing open communication to reduce stigma.

This workshop not only provided insights into mental health challenges but also equipped participants with practical strategies to support youth and others in their communities. The event was a significant step forward in promoting mental wellness and resilience, aligning with AU ‘s commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive community.
