In a remarkable display of legal acumen and eloquence, three student representatives from Thomas Aquinas School of Law, Assumption University, showcased their prowess at the "English Legal Debate Competition 2024" hosted by the Lawyers Council of Thailand under the Royal Patronage. Held on February 17th and 18th, 2024, the competition, which adopted the rigorous format of Asian Parliamentary Debate, attracted some of the brightest legal minds from across the country.

Despite facing stiff competition, the team from Thomas Aquinas School of Law demonstrated exceptional skill and determination, navigating complex legal arguments with finesse and confidence. Their performance throughout the competition was marked by clarity of thought, persuasive rhetoric, and a deep understanding of legal principles.

After a series of intense debates on a wide range of legal topics, the team emerged victorious, securing the prestigious third runner-up prize. Their achievement not only reflects their individual talent but also underscores the quality of legal education imparted at Thomas Aquinas School of Law.


 

 

The triumphant team members, Mr. Kittinant Manasurangkul (Freshman), Ms. Chatchanok Rattanakiatpaisan (Freshman), and Mr. Chayanon Pungprasertpanit (Freshman), under the supervision of A. Aek Wonganant, expressed their gratitude to their mentors, faculty members, and peers for their unwavering support throughout the competition. They credited their success to rigorous preparation, collaborative teamwork, and a passion for the law.

The English Legal Debate Competition 2024 not only provided a platform for students to sharpen their advocacy skills but also fostered camaraderie and intellectual exchange among aspiring legal professionals. As the legal landscape continues to evolve, competitions like these serve as vital incubators for the next generation of legal luminaries.
