Assumption University of Thailand (AU)'s Theophane Venard School of Biotechnology recently illuminated the academic stage with a two-day showcase on March 14th and 15th, 2024, held in room C103, AU, Hua Mak Campus. This event was designed to amplify the voice of research in the realms of biotechnology, food technology, and agro-industry, while seamlessly transferring groundbreaking knowledge to the public sphere.

The showcase unfurled with a series of student-led presentations, each delving into unique research topics under the mentorship of esteemed advisors. Day one witnessed Ms. Prapawarin Rungruengsiripol's exploration of antioxidant activity in Leguminosae during sprouting periods, aiming to craft an SPF lotion stick infused with virgin herb oils. Concurrently, Ms. Safia Yupensukshared her study on the production and stability of a lip balm enriched with black seed oil (N. Sativa) and rose oil.

Day two sustained the momentum with captivating discussions. Mr. Toaspon Rodumrongrit unveiled his creation of Keto Butter Cookies utilizing defatted cashew nut powder. Ms. Saranrat Thanakuldilok presented her innovation in Ricotta cheese spread using alternative milk sources. Ms. Selene Vate-U-Lan delved into the potential of reducing sugar in fruit juice through probiotic Lactic Acid Bacteria (Lactobacillus acidophilus La-14). Ms. Nasya Aduncharach introduced her ready-to-cook Green Curry and Panang instant powder, while Ms. Netra Dattaram Chopdekar concluded the event with her research on chitosan and turmeric extract as edible coatings for fruit preservation.
