Assumption University's Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management (GS-BATM) recently hosted an enriching educational trip titled "Night at The Museum." The event, held on December 1st, 2023, was a blend of cultural learning and social engagement, attended by graduate students and AU library directors and staff.
Under the expert guidance of Dr. Apichart Intravisit, Program Chair of MBA Creative Communication and Music Business at GS-BATM, participants embarked on a journey through Thailand's rich history at the National Museum Bangkok. This insightful exploration featured key artifacts and exhibits, tracing the country's evolution from pre-historic times to modern centuries.
Highlights of the tour included the impressive architecture of the Palace of the Viceroy, royal chariots used in funerals, and a variety of historical instruments, fabrics, and statues. The King Ram Khamhaeng's Inscription, a part of UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme, was a significant focal point, underscoring the global relevance of Thailand's heritage.
Mrs. Benjaporn Anunwanitcha, the library director, expressed her enthusiasm for the event: "This tour was not just a learning experience, but a celebration of our rich culture and heritage. I am thrilled to see such engagement from our students and staff, and I look forward to more such initiatives."
The evening culminated with a delightful Thai dinner at Chom Aroon Restaurant by the Chao Phraya River, offering breathtaking views of the illuminated Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn). This event not only provided a unique learning experience but also fostered community spirit among the AU family.
The "Night at The Museum" was a successful initiative by Assumption University, reinforcing its commitment to holistic education and cultural appreciation. Events like these demonstrate the university's dedication to providing engaging and informative experiences for its students and staff.
