BANGKOK, July 21, 2023 – The Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO) hosted the annual AU Freshy Night on July 19, 2023, at the John Paul II Sports Center, Suvarnabhumi Campus. This year's event featured the theme "The Night in Wonderland," encapsulating a creative and collaborative spectacle that left attendees inspired and eager for the academic year ahead.


 

 

Highlighting the evening were high-energy performances and a stand cheer competition from the 10 faculties, each aiming to best represent their unique identity. The captivating performances resulted in the Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics clinching the top award, closely followed by the Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts and the Theodore Maria School of Arts as the 1st and 2nd runners-up, respectively.


 

 

 

The awards and accolades were presented by Rev. Bro. Dr. Bancha Saenghiran, AU President, who praised the students for their creativity, spirit, and teamwork. These awards showcase the excellence and diversity of talents within our campus community.

Adding to the lively atmosphere, the evening also featured a performance by the winner of the Band Audition, No.1, whose music served as a thrilling opening act for the concert headlined by renowned artists, Ink Waruntorn and Rooftop. Their performances filled the night with excitement and rhythm, perfectly wrapping up the event.


 

 

To ensure no one left hungry, a Thai-style market was set up outside the John Paul II Sports Center, where attendees had the opportunity to enjoy a wide variety of local delicacies.

MSME sophomore, Thimothy Capiz, expressed his admiration for the event, stating that it was a "great experience" and highly recommended it to future attendees.

"I was really impressed by all the work and detail put into the event," said Thimothy Capiz, an MSME sophomore. He praised the performances, highlighting the Engineering show which demonstrated the collaborative work that goes into making an airplane, It really goes to show what can be achieved when we work together.



Freshy Night, Capiz's first, made a powerful impression. "Overall it was a great experience," he said, "I recommend every freshman who wants to experience the uniqueness and identity of each faculty, expressed in a fun way, to join Freshy Night."
