Criteria

Admission Criteria

  1. Applicants must have graduated, or to receive graduate status from their high school, successfully completed Grade 12 or other qualifications stated above.
  2. Take English proficiency-level test on the application date.
  3. The applicants must be free from infectious diseases, or other handicaps that can hinder their study.

Who can Apply?

Applicants with any of the following qualifications are eligible to apply:

  • High School Transcript and Graduation Diploma
  • G.C.S.E./G.C.S.E./G.C.E. “O” level graduation diploma then at least 5 subjects and GCE ‘A’ Level or GCE ‘AS’ Level at least 3 subjects, 8 subjects in total with grade no less than “C” Cannot be repeated in the same level.
  • GED Transcript and Diploma then at least 4 subjects with scores no less than 145, total scores no less than
  • IB certificate at least 5 subjects with grades no less than
  • Certificate of Education and statement of results, which are issued by the Australian Qualifications Framework for the applicants who have graduated from Australia.
  • Other equivalent certificates or diploma, as authorized by the Ministry of Education

Remark: If your diploma and transcript in a language other than English must be translated to English and certified by their own government’s Ministry of Education, Foreign Ministry, or Embassy or issued in English by their graduated school confirming that graduates of these programs are eligible to apply to regular full-time programs worldwide.

Optional Test Scores

  • TOEFL (iBT) score of 60 or above (or 3.0 or above from 2026 onward) with a validity of 2 years. 
  • IELTS score of 5.0 and above in overall bands with a validity of 2 years.
  • SAT (Mathematics) score of 500 or above with validity of 2 years.
  • SAT (Reading and Writing) score of 600 or above with a validity of 2 years.
  • HSK (Chinese Level Test) Level 4 – Level 6
  • JLPT (Japanese Level Test) N5 – N1

Remark: The University will consider the applications with a TOEFL (iBT) score of 60 or above (or 3.0 or above from 2026 onward) or above or an IELTS of 5.0 or above to be exempted from the English Placement Test and English Intensive Course(s). SAT (Mathematics) score of 500 or above are exempted from the Mathematics Placement Test and Mathematics Intensive course. SAT (Reading and Writing) score of 600 or above are exempted from English Placement Test and Intensive English Course.

Kindly write the score in the application form you have earned for admission and attach copies of the official score (original required at the time of registration).

Documents Required

Thai School

  1. High school graduates completing M.6 (Transcript and Diploma)
  2. One copy of Identification Card and residence registration.
  3. One 3×4 cm. photo.
  4. A copy of a name/surname change certificate, if applicable.

International School

  1. One copy of High School Certificate or Diploma or any other equivalent qualification as authorized by the respective country’s Ministry of Education or other assigned government agency, which must be translated to English, if issued in any other language and be confirmed by their own government’s appropriate Ministry or Embassy or issued in English by the school that issued the graduation record, diploma, or transcript.
  2. One copy of High School Transcripts (Translated to English and get certified by their own Embassy or issued in English by their high school or equivalent graduated school.
  3. Copy of passport for foreign applicants and one copy of Identification Card and residence registration for Thai students.
  4. One 3 X 4 cm. photo.
  5. A copy of a name/surname change certificate, if applicable, issued by appropriate authority in English.

Faculty Entrance Examination Criteria

Martin de Tours School of Management and Economics
  • Take English / Mathematics Proficiency-level test.

Note: For Majoring in Design and Digital Innovation (DDI)

  • Take English and Mathematic Proficiency-level test.
    – Applicants who have IELTS score 5.5 or above are exempted from the English Placement Test.
    – Applicants who have TOELF (iBT) score 70 or above (or 3.5 or above from 2026 onwards) are exempted from the English Placement Test.
    – Applicants who have SAT (Reading and Writing) score 650 or above are exempted from the English Placement Test.
    – Applicants who have SAT (Mathematics) score 500 or above are exempted from the Mathematics Placement Test.
  • Applicants must submit a required portfolio with related credential.
  • Applicants must pass an interview conducted by the faculty.
Theodore Maria School of Arts
  • Take English / Mathematics Proficiency-level test.
Louis Nobiron School of Music
  • Take English / Mathematics Proficiency-level test.
  • Applicants must pass an interview conducted by the faculty.
Albert Laurence School of Communication Arts
  • Take English / Mathematics Proficiency-level test.

Note: For Majoring in Creative Communication Design (CCD)

  • Applicants must take intensive drawing course about 10 days before the semester begins.
Montfort del Rosario School of Architecture and Design
  • Take English / Mathematics Proficiency-level test.
  • Applicants must take Preparation for Architecture and Design Studies about 10 days before the semester begins.
Vincent Mary School of Engineering, Science and Technology
  • Take English / Mathematics Proficiency-level test.

                Note: For Aeronautics Engineering (Concentration Commercial Pilot License (CPL))

  • Applicants must not have a physical disability and are hearing.
  • Male applicants must have the height of no less than 165 cm while female applicants with the height of no less than 160
  • Applicants must undergo the physical and psychological tests (Class 1 Medical Assessment) conducted by Bangkok Hospital or Samitivej Hospital or Royal Thai Air Force.
  • Faculty will follow the process of appointment for medical class I examination date and time with the standard examination center.

*Students can contact Faculty of Engineering to set up appointment with hospital to have the required tests conducted.

            Note: For Aeronautical Engineering (Concentration Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME))

  • Applicants must not have a physical disability and are hearing.
Theophane Vernard School of Food Biotechnology and Innovation
  • Take English / Mathematics Proficiency-level test.
  • Applicants must pass an interview conducted by the faculty.
Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science
  • Take English / Mathematics Proficiency-level test.
  • Minimum age is 17 (no upper limit)
  • Weight is at least 40 Height is not less than 150 centimetres.
  • Marital status is not limited.
  • Obtain M.6 Certificate (grade 12) or equivalent in both science and Non-science majors.
  • Obtain bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in any other fields.
  • Have clear criminal record; no bad conduct or problem behavior which will affect the reputation of nursing profession.
  • Be physically and mentally healthy (Medical report indicating normal chest X-ray, negative hepatitis B, Anti-HBs, Color Blindness and mental health result certified by the physician from the hospitals; has no severe illness, contagious diseases, or deformity which will be the obstacle to the study).
  • Pass the examination and interview process of Bernadette de Lourdes School of Nursing Science.
Thomas Aquinas School of Law
  • Take English / Mathematics Proficiency-level test.

Credit Transfer

Transfer Student Requirements

  1. Should have at least a GPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 scale;
  2. Diplomas of any sort do not qualify.
  3. The institution must have at least a standard 4-year degree completion.
  4. The course was completed at an institution accredited by the Civil Service Commission;
  5. The course content is equivalent to that specified in the University’s curriculum;
  6. The course must have been taken within 5 years from the time of application;
    • Only a course with an earned grade of “C” or higher in a general education course or an earned grade of “B” or higher in a professional core course will be considered as transfer credit, depending on the dean’s final approval;
    • Transferred credits are not allowed to be more than half of the total credits of the desired program. In accordance with the Higher Education, Science, Research and Innovation’s regulations.
    • You can apply to transfer credit by completing the Transfer form and attaching official transcript and course description in English.
    • The transfer fee will be charged based on actual credit rate (@ 1 credit)

Remark: Process at least 3 weeks after completed documents and Admission officer will confirm with you via email or mobile phone.

**The Dean’s judgment is final and all documents to the university will not be returned to the student. **

Intensive Course

Intensive Course Policy

Applicants who are admitted must join the Intensive Course to get ready for higher-level studies. This course focuses on improving English skills in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, as well as reviewing basic knowledge in mathematics and other subjects related to the faculty or program applied for. After completing the course, a test will be given to assess the applicant’s fundamental knowledge, and the results will be used to place them in the appropriate classes for the first semester.

The placement in the Intensive Course will be determined based on the applicant’s foundational knowledge as follows.

Note: In the case of submitting additional test scores as follows:

  1. Applicants with a TOEFL (iBT) score of 60 or higher (or 3.0 or higher from 2026 onwards) or an IELTS score of 5.0 or higher are exempted from the Intensive English Course and must present both the original and a copy of their score report to the staff on the application submission day.
  2. Applicants with an SAT 1 (Mathematics) score of 500 or higher are exempted from the Intensive Mathematics Course and must present both the original and a copy of their score report to the staff on the application submission day.
  3. Applicants with a combined SAT 1 English score (Reading and Writing) of 600 or higher are exempted from the Intensive English Course and must present both the original and a copy of their score report to the staff on the application submission day.

Visa Service Information

Types of Visas

In Thailand, there are several categories of visas available for different purposes:

  • Tourist Visa (TR):  Allows a stay of up to 60days, which can be extended for another 30 Days  
  • Digital Nomad Visa (DTV):Designed for remote workers, allowing a stay of up to 180 
  • Non-Immigrant B Visa: For employment, business or professional activities. Upon entry, the visa holder receives a 90-day stay permit, which can be extended for another 1
  • Non-Immigrant ED Visa:For education purposes.  Upon entry, the visa holder receives a 90-day stay permit, which can be extended depending on academic result
  • Non-Immigrant O-A Visa:For retirees aged 50 and over. Upon entry, the visa holder receives a 90-day stay permit, which can be extended for another 1 year based on the reason. 
  • Non-Immigrant O Visa:Covers various purposes, including visiting or living with a Thai family. Upon entry, the visa holder receives a 90-day stay permit, which can be extended for another 1 year based on the reason. 
  • SMART Visa:For highly skilled professionals, investors, and entrepreneurs, allows for an extended stay of up to four years without the need for visa renewals.
  • Long-Term Resident (LTR):For those wishing to live in Thailand, allows for a 10-year stay. which can be extended for an additional 5 years if certain qualifications are met.
  • Courtesy visa: Diplomatic and official Passport holders can apply to enter Thailand for purposes other than official duties. Allows a stay of up to 90

Procedures

Visa Extension

  1. Complete visa service petition and the Immigration form.
  2. Pay 200 THB at the Office of Financial Management.
  3. Submit form and receipt to AU visa section.
  4. Required document
    – Passport copy with all Thai stamp pages.
    – 1 one of 4×6 cm. photograph.
    – Copy of registration receipt (current /most recent semester)
    – TM 30 and class current schedule.

Change Visa

  1. Complete visa service petition and the Immigration form.
  2. Pay 200 THB at the Office of Financial Management.
  3. Submit form and receipt to AU visa section.
  4. Required document
    – Passport copy with all Thai stamp pages.
    – 1 one of 4×6 cm. photograph.
    – Copy of registration receipt (current /most recent semester)
    – TM.30 and class current schedule.

90-Day Notice/Re-Entry

  1. Complete 90-Day notice form.
  2. Submit to Immigration bureau form, TM.30 and passport copy.

 

Important Note: Non-Thai Students who are holding Non-Immigrant Visa (“ED”) must apply for Stay Permit extension 1 Month before their Stay Permit expires

Transportation Schedule to  Immigration

The AU Visa Section provides round-trip transportation services to the Immigration Offices according to the follow schedule:

  • Tuesdays: Huamak Campus to Chaeng Watthana Government Complex, Bangkok
  • Thursdays: Suvarnabhumi Campus to Samut Prakan Immigration Offices, Samut Prakan

Note: Students are required to reserve their seats at least one week prior to the travel date.
