AU Officially Appoints and Invests Student Leaders for Academic Year 2026

Assumption University of Thailand (AU) through the Division of Student Affairs, organized the Official Appointment and Presentation of Student Leader Pins Ceremony for the Academic Year 2026 to formally appoint and recognize student leaders who have been entrusted with serving the University community through various student organizations and leadership bodies.

The ceremony was graciously presided over by Rev. Bro. Sirichai Fonseka, f.s.g., Ph. D., President of AU , who delivered an inspiring address emphasizing that leadership is not merely a position or title, but a commitment to responsibility, integrity, and service to others. He encouraged all student leaders to become role models who lead with humility, compassion, courage, and a genuine spirit of service.

This year, a total of 54 student leaders representing 27 student organizations, councils, committees, clubs, and student groups were officially appointed and received the Student Leader Pin as a symbol of trust, responsibility, and dedication to the University Community.

The appointed student leaders represent:

* The Executive Committee of the Assumption University Student Organization (AUSO)
* Faculty Student Councils
* Student Committees for Majors
* National Student Communities
* Student Clubs
* Student Groups

A special highlight of this year’s ceremony was the invitation extended to the parents and families of the newly appointed student leaders to join the event as witnesses to this significant milestone in their children’s leadership journey. Their presence reflected the invaluable role of families in nurturing, supporting, and inspiring students to become leaders and responsible members of society.

Following the ceremony, university administrators, student leaders, parents, and families gathered for a luncheon reception, creating a warm and joyful atmosphere filled with pride, gratitude, and meaningful conversations. The gathering provided an opportunity for the University and families to celebrate together and reaffirm their shared commitment to supporting the holistic development of student leaders.

The Official Appointment and Presentation of Student Leader Pins Ceremony reflects AU’s commitment to developing future leaders who embody the University’s core values and are prepared to contribute positively to society through leadership and service.

The University extends its sincere congratulations to all newly appointed Student Leaders and wishes them success as they embark on their journey of serving and inspiring the AU community throughout the Academic Year 2026.
