Assumption University of Thailand (AU) ’s Center for Sports and Physical Fitness, Student Affairs, organized the “Scholarship Athletes Orientation for Academic Year 2026” on June 23, 2026, at the Information Technology Building, Suvarnabhumi Campus.
The orientation prepared AU scholarship athletes for the new academic year by strengthening their understanding of the roles, responsibilities, and expectations shared by coaches and student-athletes before training and competition began.
The event was honored by the presence of Acting Sub Lt. Dr. Yutthana Suwannatarn, Vice President for Student Affairs and Acting Director of the Center for Sports and Physical Fitness, who delivered opening remarks to sports advisors, coaches, and scholarship athletes. He offered guidance and encouragement, reminding students that success at AU is measured not only by athletic performance, but also by discipline, responsibility, and academic achievement.
A key focus of the orientation was effective time management. Student-athletes were encouraged to maintain a healthy balance between their studies and athletic training while proudly representing the University in competition. The program also emphasized discipline, accountability, commitment, and teamwork as essential qualities for reaching full potential both in the classroom and on the field.
Scholarship athletes from 10 sports disciplines participated in the orientation, including tennis, taekwondo, golf, swimming, badminton, table tennis, woodball, hapkido, Go, and basketball.
By bringing coaches, advisors, and athletes together before the academic year began, the Center for Sports and Physical Fitness reinforced AU’s commitment to developing well-rounded student-athletes who compete with skill, study with purpose, and represent the University with pride.
