On Sunday, April 26, 2026, the Graduate School of Business and Advanced Technology Management at Assumption University of Thailand (AU) hosted “MBA and Beyond” at Salle d’ Expo, Hua Mak Campus, offering graduate students a lively and thoughtfully designed workshop that looked beyond the classroom and toward the realities of professional life.
Held from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., the program began with registration before moving into a spirited session on the manners, character, and qualities expected of business people in the 21st century. Through talks, quizzes, and interactive activities with prizes, the workshop created an atmosphere that was both engaging and purposeful, inviting students to reflect not only on what they had learned in their studies, but also on the kind of professionals they hoped to become.
The event struck a balance between seriousness and energy. It reminded students that while an MBA may provide the language of business, success often depends just as much on judgment, communication, discipline, and character. In that sense, “MBA and Beyond” did more than fill a morning schedule. It offered a valuable moment of pause and perspective, encouraging students to think about the human side of leadership in an age increasingly shaped by speed, complexity, and constant change.
A working break gave participants time to recharge before the program concluded with a buffet lunch. But the significance of the workshop extended well beyond its timetable. As the official notice made clear, participation in the morning session was required for students wishing to take the afternoon oral comprehensive exam, underscoring the importance of the event within the graduate academic journey.
What made the workshop especially effective was its recognition that higher education in business is not simply about mastering concepts or passing examinations. It is also about forming the habits of mind and conduct that distinguish capable professionals from memorable ones. “MBA and Beyond” captured that idea with clarity and warmth, leaving students with something more lasting than a set of slides or notes.
By the end of the morning, the workshop had done what its title promised. It had moved beyond the degree itself and turned attention toward the broader qualities that shape meaningful careers and responsible leadership. For the students who took part, it was not just a requirement. It was a timely and worthwhile step into the world that awaits them.
