Recently, a delegation from Assumption University of Thailand (AU), in collaboration with Saint Gabriel’s College, visited the People’s Republic of China to advance international academic cooperation. The delegation brought together senior administrators, faculty members, and educators from both institutions.
Representing Saint Gabriel’s College was Rev. Bro. Achin Tengtrakul, f.s.g., Ph. D. Deputy Director, together with Ms. Sajeekarn and faculty members. The AU delegation was led by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kitti Phothikitti, Vice President for Educational Innovation and Graduate Studies, accompanied by Dr. Gao Li, Assistant Vice President, Dr. Khongrit Chatpatomrak, along with administrators and faculty members, who engaged in academic discussions and collaboration meetings with partner institutions in China.
During the visit, the delegation toured four leading universities: Central Academy of Fine Arts, Peking University, Southwestern University of Finance and Economics, and Xihua University.
Key activities included academic seminars, institutional visits, knowledge exchange sessions, and the presentation of commemorative gifts to strengthen mutual friendship and partnership.
A major highlight of the mission was the formal signing of three strategic Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs), marking a significant milestone in building a strong “educational bridge” between Thailand and China across multiple disciplines, including arts, business, technology, and innovation.
Looking ahead, both sides will focus on developing joint academic programs, student and faculty exchange initiatives, and collaborative international admissions pathways. These efforts aim to foster long-term partnerships and enhance global educational opportunities for students from both countries.
Education serves as a powerful force that connects people across borders, and this collaboration represents another important step toward sustainable international academic cooperation between Thailand and China.
